Patients & Visitors guide line

We promote a family friendly environment. We understand that visitors are important to the healing process and we encourage family and friends to visit. For the comfort and well being of all our patients, we ask that visitors follow the guidelines listed below.

Information Desks:

There is an information desk located in the main hospital lobby. It serves as a resource for patients, families and visitors. Staff and volunteers provide information regarding lodging accommodations, transportation and restaurants and can arrange for services, such as interpreters, clergy and notary publics. You may contact them in person or call.

Visiting Hours:

Visiting hours are flexible and designed to meet the needs of the individual patient. Please contact staff at the nursing station nearest the patient you are visiting. Hours may change based upon unit-specific needs.

Intensive Care Units - limit visitors to two individuals at a time. Visitors are not allowed during procedures or during shift change. Hours may change based on unit- specific needs. Labor and Delivery Suites - welcome the father of the baby or another designated adult to be present during labor and delivery. At other times visitors are always welcome. Surgery Patients - The immediate family of pre-procedure or pre-surgery patients may visit as early as they wish on the morning of surgery.

Guidelines:

  • Please keep noise to a minimum by limiting the number of visitors.
  • Waiting rooms are for the use of multiple families; please be respectful of others while using these spaces.
  • Do not visit with an infectious disease, such as a cold or flu. We encourage you to use hand sanitizer or wash your hands often to keep your family safe.
  • Children are welcome; however, they must be in good health and supervised by an adult at all times.
  • Flowers and mylar balloons are welcome except in the intensive care units. Latex balloons pose a danger to people with latex allergies and are not permitted.
  • Cell phones are prohibited in some areas. Ask your nurse if you have questions about using your cell phone.
